Kim Smith will perform all eleven tracks from his upcoming debut pop album, Nova, at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater, on Tuesday, May 28th, 9:30PM.  Featuring the singles “Jealous” and “Never Ever,” Nova’s sound has been likened to the Pet Shop Boys, George Michael and Robyn, and features an all-electronic band helmed by music director David Berger.

Conceived and created with Benjamin Ickies (House of Yes, This Ambitious Orchestra), “The Tease” will be performed live in The Gallery at Le Poisson Rouge, alongside re-imagined works by Weimar-era composers, and modern-day artists alike, including: Friedrich Hollaender, Björk, the Supremes, Kylie Minogue, Hanns Eisler, and myriad glittering others.  Featuring a full band accompaniment, Award-winning Australian performer Kim Smith charts a dark and whimsical path through a ruined, musical landscape of disfigured pop and peculiar period treasures with his debut cabaret EP recording (available in physical format post-show!).
